ten thousand dollars
In the novel, Raisin in The Sun, i believe that mama should split up the money between the family. she needs to reward herself because its rightfully hers but she is also really generous with it so maybe she should give some of it to beneatha so she can make something of her life and maybe help out the rest of the family once she becomes successful. It would be a shame to waste her intelligence because of lack of money. Buying a liquor store probably wouldnt be as profitabe as becoming a doctor. So i believe most of the money should go to beneatha for her career.

Lit Story
The Cabin Was Deserted

The cabin seemed deserted as my friends and I entered.
We were just wandering around the forest and thought it would be fun to check it out. We had no idea what we would find inside. When we entered, we smelt an odor that reminded us of the town slaughterhouse. Intrigued, we adventured in and split up into two groups. Bill and I went to the back and looked around where Robert and Johnny went upstairs. We noticed a small latch on the ground and lifted it up to see what it was for. It was a trapdoor leading to some type of basement. The scent got stronger as we walked down the creaky steps. Surprisingly, there was a small light coming from the back and the sound of a cleaver chopping. 
We were at first startled and wanted to immediately turn back. But our curiosity got the better of us and we pushed forward. When we reached the bottom of the stairs, our feet made a splash on the ground and someone yelled, “Who’s there?!” We ran up the stairs and closed the door shut. We pushed a dresser over it and dashed out of the house. But where were Johnny and Robert? We yelled for them to come back but there was no answer. We were walking back when the house suddenly exploded and we were sent flying back.
I suppose we hit a tree because I woke up in the hospital the next day with a concussion. I never saw Johnny or Robert again. I wish the cabin was deserted.
